Tabitha Babbitt was the inventor to making the Circular Saw in Harvard Massachusetts. The reason why Tabitha made this tool was because Tabitha saw other men using hand made tools that was making them lose their energy and she said it can be more safer for men to use. Also she made this tool for false teeth, machine cut nails, and an improved spinning wheel head with many more tools we use today. Men were really surprised of how Tabitha Babbitt can create such a useful tool that everyone uses and that it is more safer. One of her work was to create the cut nails but she did it with a friend name Eli Whitney. Both of them worked on them to improve nails that were used to build heavy machinery. Tabitha was a religious person with a lot of other people in the Shaker Community but the people in the Shaker community believed in God and living a simple life. Tabitha Babbitt's goal was to help the men in their working. She wanted to help them to make their tasks easier by creating the circular saw for them. Tabitha Babbitt wanted to be a great inventor that makes so much tools that can help people. The way she means by helping is by making things easier, faster, and more safer for them.
